I’m an aspiring researcher in Epidemiology and Public Health, and have been actively involved in a range of projects tackling major public health issues. My prior experience has involved addressing the significant inequities within the global obesity crisis, utilising drug repurposing to tackle major diseases, and even policy research to help us become better prepared for future pandemic. By refining my ability to analyse large datasets using R and Stata, design and run effective qualitative patient and public involvement sessions, I aspire to leave a lasting impact with my future work.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in R & Stata - Quantitative Analysis, Statistical Modelling, Mapping, and Data Visualisation | Qualitative Data Collection, Thematic Analysis, Data Interpretation & Report Writing, Literature Review Writing, Data Entry & Management Languages: English (Native), Cantonese (Native), Mandarin (Fluent), French (Upper Intermediate – CEFR B2), Korean (Beginner)

  • Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis: Conducted both quantitative & qualitative analysis in R and Stata on data collected from a randomised controlled trial, with a large representative British sample to test compare the efficacy of FOPLs and factors that impact this (sociodemographic and contextual). Results were presented through research briefs and posters published on the NIHR website, and is accessible here.
  • Experimental & Qualitative Data Collection: Planned and conducted a Patient and Public Involvement session with the National Children’s Bureau, running a similar FOPL experiment with Young Research Advisors to investigate whether FOPLs are effective for young people, and garnering sentiments on FOPL schemes and perceptions on their efficacy.
