Jamie Wong

Aspiring Epidemiologist & Public Health Professional

Interests include addressing health inequities within both infectious and non-communicable disease, particularly in obesity, sexually transmitted infections, ageing, and mental health

About Me

I’m an aspiring researcher in Epidemiology and Public Health, and have been actively involved in a range of projects tackling major public health issues. My prior experience has involved addressing the significant inequities within the global obesity crisis, utilising drug repurposing to tackle major diseases, and even policy research to help us become better prepared for future pandemic. By refining my ability to analyse large datasets using R and Stata, design and run effective qualitative patient and public involvement sessions, I aspire to leave a lasting impact with my future work.

I also particularly enjoy photography, and have been working as a freelance photographer since 2017. I have experience photographing large scale conferences, workshops, sports events, and weddings. Please visit the photography section for my portfolio.
